What a great investment. No longer do I have to drag my wood into the basement. No more running up and down the steps to load a wood furnace 4 times a day. No more smoke in the house. No more house that seems either too hot or cold. My new wood furnace sits out beside my wood shed which eleminates handling the wood as often, plus I do not need to cut my peices of wood as small anymore since I can take up to a 4 foot peice. I load the stove in the morning on the way to work, and in the evening after dinner.

Testimonial

I had been looking for an outdoor wood gasifier for the past few years. All I could find on the North American market were indoor models that required constant attention with single building btu/h ratings. The Sequoyah Paradise model E3400 was the solution. It can handle multiple buildings with the 320,000 btu/h rating. The gasifier only needs to be filled once per day. I currently have a poorly insulated greenhouse connected with radiant tubing buried in sand and the system has been operating without issues. The forced downdraft gasification process is the most efficient means to burning wood. With the aquastat controlling the downdraft blower, the fire in the burn box will smolder and prepare the wood in the burn chamber while the temperature in the water jacket slowly drops. Therefore, no wasted wood during times of no heat load demand. The fire essentially stops. The efficiency of the gasification process, to use substantially less wood than the traditional wood boiler. I believe the wood gasifier has paid for itself in the first year. Heating with No. 2 fuel oil would have cost $15K to heat the old greenhouses. I estimate I used 10 cords of quality hardwood and six cords of softwood, cleaning up the downed trees on the farm. $1500/year for wood versus $15K/year for No. 2. Big savings!
